I  remember  when  I  was in grade school until high school, I was so thin, tall  and  dark  skinned  that  I was most of the time, the subject of my schoolmates'  jokes,  calling  me  names  of  all sort. It made made me quite insecure and conscious of my looks. Anyway, that was a long time ago and my heart has learned to forgive. Who would have thought that that ugly duckling from back then is now a fashion blogger who flaunts cropped tops and mini skirts? :)

So for today's post, I am wearing another cropped top and this is also from the same shop featured in last week's post. This kind of cropped top is selling like pancakes here in the Philippines at this time. They call it the Megan Top because it was first seen worn by Miss World 2013 Megan Young in one of her OOTDs. The sexy neckline of the top has caused our local Instagram shops to create their respective versions of the Megan Top and of course, I had to get one for myself in Red! 

I had been thinking what kind of bottoms would go well with this cropped top when I suddenly remembered that I still have this 17 year old fiery red skirt. Yes you read that right! This very elegant pleated lace midi skirt has been in my closet for that long. It was my mom and dad's Christmas gift to me when I was in the fourth grade and since I'm still sporting a 24 inch waistline, it still fits! I will never have the heart to throw or sell this lovely piece, ever! And look, doesn't it look so gorgeous when paired with this Megan Top? I think it's a sexy and classy combo. Red is such a powerful color! Wear both top and skirt in Red and all eyes will definitely be on you! Or at least, a pair of eyes will be on you lol.

Hi gals! A good, happy, sweaty, hot afternoon to you from scorching Manila! Sorry if I had been blogging about Summer more frequently lately. I know most of you are still on your way to Spring, but since we don't have that here in the tropics, we're fast forwarding to Summer! So I'm pretty sure you all can guess what this outfit post is about. What outfit can be more fitting to beat the heat? Cropped Tops and Shorts, in white!

So for this Summer 2014, cute summer outfit is not just cute, but sexy as well. I seldom show off some skin in my posts (unless of course I was wearing swimwear) because I'm that shy lol. But thanks to Fashion Trends Online PH of Instagram for sending over these off-shoulder cropped top and a matching origami shorts. These pieces are too pretty and sexy not to flaunt! To somehow cover my self-proclaimed shyness, I decided to cover up with a Pink floral kimono that I've got over a year ago. 

Before I started the shoot, I was in deep thought: "Will I be able to pull off this cropped top?". Even my mom was intently watching me, which made it all the more awkward. Then again, I convinced myself that this shoot would only take 5 minutes, max. After the first minute, I recovered my self confidence. Sexiness is not about the amount of skin you need to show, or how high the cut of the top is or how short your bottoms were. It's about being yourself and being confident that radiates the sexiness of the person within. Still, thanks to my long legs (that go on forever, as one of my readers said), I felt even sexier! lol. 

By the way, do you recognize this top? It's actually the same top I wore for the first outfit in this post! While this floral kimono was first featured in this post when she was still on my shopping cart. Can you imagine that after more than one year, this was the first time I wore it? :p #justsaying

"Peach perfect!" ; My 5 Ways to Wear Chiffon Palazzo Pants

Hi  Gals!  How are you all doing? Excited for Spring? Summer? Me, I am very much  looking forward  to the heat so that I can finally bring out all my sheer  tops  and  corsets  and  tank tops  and chiffon palazzo pants! Eep, speaking of chiffon palazzo pants (and I know you saw this coming), I have just bought my first ever palazzo around two weeks ago.  Actually, I bought it  online  thinking  it was a maxi skirt in the stock photo. But the truth was, I had been scouting for peach palazzo pants in chiffon for the longest time and I am completely aware that such task is quite daunting, given that I'm  looking  for  specifics such as the fabric and the color and the style etc.  So  when  I  saw  this  peach  "maxi  skirt"  on Joshan Online Shop's collection, I  did not bother think twice and ordered it right away. I got the  item the following day and much to my blissful surprise, it turned out to  be  the  palazzo  pants  of my dreams! The universe is just so powerful #GotToBelieve

So  anyway,  if  you ask me, I rarely and I mean very rarely do I see girls wearing  palazzo  pants.  You  see circle  skirts  and  maxis  and  shorts everywhere  but these pretty culottes very seldom take the lime light don't you  think?  So  for  today's  post,  here's  a special "My 5 Ways to Wear" edition to give you gals a little idea what to wear these palazzos with.

The  casual white cropped top blended well with the flowy fabric giving the ensemble  that  perfect  mix  of laid-back and chic. How to wear the palazzo pants in the mall? This is how! Well if you want, sans the heels lol.

What do you think of mixing solid black with dainty peach? The flowy fabric gives a great balance to the grungy feel of the top. I'm not sure but I actually liked this one haha! By the way, this cold-shoulders top is actually a DIY which is very simple to make. Nonetheless, I'll be posting the pseudo-tutorial very soon.

You will definitely turn heads in this eye-catching sequined silver top! This is actually a dress worn as top, quite versatile this beauty isn't she? If it weren't for the sequins, the loose top and loose bottom somehow gives off a Bohemian Vibe! Chiffon Pants in Boho Style spells sexy!

Fifth Look: Wearing Palazzo Pants to Formal Gatherings:

If you would ask me, I honestly wouldn't attend formal gatherings wearing pants. Well that's just me. I will definitely be on a dress or top plus skirt combination, but pants? And by that I'm referring to slacks. But make the pants Peach in flowy fabric and I will readily put it on. And what is the more common match to chiffon bottoms? Lacy tops! Probably due to the same dainty look and feel that chiffon and lace have that they make a great combo perfect for formal occasions such as weddings. When my mom saw me wearing this, she asked me whether I was having a dress rehearsal to a wedding and that I might stand out instead of the bride. Haha! Well, I do agree that this palazzo pants is definitely a statement!

I can still think of more ways to wear these lovely bottoms and the list goes on. All you need is just your little creative bone and a dash of confidence and you're good to go! Style Files: Goo Hara of KARA

Hi gals! If you can recall, I have previously featured Nicole Jung of KARA's personal style in this post. Today, Goo Hara of the same top female K-Pop group KARA shall be under The Fabulous Geek's limelight on Style  Files.  I  am  actually  planning to feature all KARA members  and their individual styles one by one, given that I am an avid fan of K-POP  and  K-fashion  at  that.  Well,  at this point in time, who doesn't listen to K-POP or doesn't shop at Asian Wholesale sites? lol.

For  those  who  are  not  quite  familiar with KARA's HARA, (I love saying that), she is, nonetheless, the richest Female K-POP Idol at this time. She likewise  holds  the  title  of  the  Idol  with  the  smallest (read: epic) waistline of all at a mere 22 inches. Barbie, is that you?

My goodness! And I thought my 24 inch waistline is already sexy! lol

So she sings like a song  bird,  she  dances with the grace of the clouds, she act(ed) with Lee Min  Ho (OMG), she graced the Korean Vogue Magazine for 2013 along with dozens of other high street fashion magazines, and she owns her own company. Her style is  unfathomable,  unpredictable:  elegant,  spunky,  sexy,  dainty, she is versatile  in  style  and  in talent. Upon researching more about this Hara girl,  I was astounded how little I have known about her style. She dresses so  well and she looks very pretty and sweet in everything! Be it in casual airport  clothes  or  in  extravagant  dresses  on  the red carpet or press conferences,  Hara carries herself well, with much confidence and intellect that  outright  radiates  within her petite and innocent frame. Outfit Post: My Boyfriend's Birthday :">

Hi gals! How are you all doing? I am back with a new post after another whole week of MIA. So much for my new year's resolution to blog at least twice every week lol Anyway, boyfriend John celebrated his birthday 2 weeks ago. We used to always go somewhere during his birthday but for this year, we decided to have a simple celebration in the coziness of his own home. And because he lives in the mountainous San Mateo, Rizal, I opted to wear flats for comfortable trekking in the slopes. Still I "dressed up" for the occasion with a ruffled top and printed midi circle skirt. If you could not think of what outfit to wear on your boyfriend's birthday, this ensemble can actually do the trick. If the event is semi-formal, you can just put on a blazer and white heels! What do you think?

Outfit Post : Happy Valentines Day!

Hello everyone! Wishing you the sweetest Valentines Day today! I just got home from a fun filled date with John at our favorite mall. After having an early lunch at The ChopHouse, we went to watch the movie Vampire Academy. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it! I haven't read the novel though but probably due to my penchant for long haired gorgeous looking vamps, I was hooked! lol. After the movie, we went straight to the arcade and played like little kids. We won very few tickets though which I think was not fair because we played really well! So anyhow, might I ask what is your outfit for this Valentines Day? Are you all going for the traditional Red Valentines? Believe it or not, I've been stressing over what to wear on Valentines Day that is not Red! Then realizing I didn't have any red dress in my closet, I decided to wear Pink at least. Then again, I ended up wearing a monochrome outfit: Earth Tones! I never thought I would wear Brown on a Red day. Nonetheless, I believed the ensemble looked cute and John said I looked pretty! Lol. A nude cut out long sleeved top and floral skater skirt plus bejewelled flats definitely exudes that dainty and romantic vibe of this season! Tell me what you think :)
