Outfit Post: Breaking Down

look at the boyfriend, he's so dramatic :p
i sooo love this guy. so sweet <3
We'll, it's a happy 26th month anniversary to me and my BF! yay! So before we went out for a date, we took the liberty to celebrate in his humble abode through photo shoots for our outfit posts! yes, our outfit posts. Finally, I coerced him to bend a little into the world of fashion (and blogging). Though that's not exactly his cup of tea but I won. So anyway, my outfit post first then his. And have I told you he's pretty skilled in writing? He'll be writing his own posts as well. Check them out in the upcoming post entitled: Wasted Time.

sorry for the angling. it was meant to be for fun lol
I cinched on a slim belt onto the corset to emphasize (or put) the figure

I just love the design of this corset top. given that my favorite color is royal blue and I like corset tops with front zippers :p

these wedges are definitely sturdy, punky and sexy <3

I wore fun looking accessories to inject some yourhful vibe into an otherwise matured (?) ensemble

The main attraction on this outfit is my corset top which I got from a newly-discovered online store called Ifassion Highfashion. I've posted a preview of this corset top in here. I know I said so many times that I just fell in love with the design and structure of the top but the affordable price is a super plus/bonus for me when I got it. I matched it up with my royal blue bandage skirt. (my fave color isn't that obvious, I hope lol). I played the ensemble up with this black fedora hat and gladiator wedges to give it more edge. So what do you think? :)

fedora hat from boyfriend's closet, corset top Ifassion Highfashion, bandage skirt from Tutuban Mall, wedges from Rusty Lopez, accessories all random finds

Please hype this look on Lookbook! :D

TFG's A-List of the day: Smolder

Is it just me, or do you also think that corset/bustier tops will go well with neon peplum skirts? Also, I want the bustier top to be embellished with studs. Would you agree that it will look hardcore yet sexy? Please look into my list and tell me what you think of this ensemble. I added some extra pieces that I think will speak volumes of drama in the entire outfit *wink*

1. Gold Beam Necklace
2. Studded black midriff bustier top
3. Black Fedora Hat
4. Neon yellow peplum skirt
5. Red Hot Balenciaga Motor bag
6. Heel less shoes ala Lady Gaga

The incorporated pieces scream mystery, elegance, adventurous and fun. Do you think you can wear this to the London Fashion Week? :p

TFG's A-List

I will now be including a special segment in my blog entitled TFG's A-List. It's just another version of a so-called fashion wishlist but more of a spur-of-the-moment thing. Sometimes, I create memos and save them on my phone whenever I'm daydreaming of outfits and putting them together on my mind to create a complete ensemble. I guess you get the gist.

So for today, I'm actually thinking of floral prints. After browsing online stores for more than half the day, here are the stuff I found.

Since the midriff bustier top is tight, wouldn't it be nice to pair it with flowy palazzo pants? Put on your favorite sunnies and you can wear this at the beach and the summery vibe is alive and kickin'. The Pink and Lime shades looks and (tastes!) ice-creamy! But when you put on a boyfriend blazer, the look instantly becomes chic and city-ish. Isn't it great how one piece of clothing can affect and alter the whole feel of this look. Put on some nude statement neckpiece, rings and a golden arm candy, plus a gold envelope clutch and you're all set to party!

Hot On My List: Bustier Tops and Kimono Jackets

Whenever I attend Fashion bazaars, corset/bustier tops and dresses are staples in every stall's collection. It's definitely hot in every shopper's eye, and a must have in every shopping basket. Corsets/Bustiers make you feel and look sexy and chic, especially those which have studs and metals. Screams edgy! I'm not immune to this trend's allure as well, and I'm not planning to deny myself with that. I currently have one corset and one midriff bustier top in my wardrobe and I've just placed an order for another floral bustier top. I'm very excited to get the new one. I fell in love with the floral design and the structure. What do you think? :p

I'll probably wear this with my light blue skinnies, pastel yellow blazer and nude wedges. Feels summery! Why not? :p It can also go with a mullet skirt and heels. Gah! I can't wait to get this.

Second to my list is the super cute and boho-ish Kimono jackets. Being the geek cosplayer/Japanese wannabe that I am, it would be such a shame if I don't own one! Also, I'm such a sucker for everything sheer with abstract/graphic designs. I know both bustier tops and the Kimono jackets are perfect get ups for Summer, how ironic that I'm blogging about them during the rainy season :p Anyway, Kimono Jackets are probably an instant "go to" option for girls of all body types. Whatever your size is, it will surely flatter your body with its featherweight fabric and flowy frame. Some particular pieces I've seen over the net:

Effortlessly stylish. I'm gonna get one soon! :D
