[Outfit Post]: I Am That Diamond ♥♥♥

First of all, allow me to say that I am deeply in love with Rock Music, particularly Gothic/Symphonic Metal. And I exuded that absolutely well, a few years back. In some of my posts, I have pointed out how I had been the Goth girl in every class I had during College. I was not oblivious to the fact that my professors, and some of my classmates back then, would all toss a glance at my direction, eyeing me from head to toe. They called me, "the lady in black". I had half of my face covered in razor-like bangs and only my left side of the face was visible. My eyes were charcoal black and I seldom smile. It was very cold inside the classroom, literally, so I had this excuse to wear this long black trench over my white and plaid green uniform. I was almost always called into the Disciplinary office because of my jet black tights and all the metallic accessories I wore. My nails were  black and my aura was that of a Nimbus cloud. They said I didn't look like a decent student. But I just couldn't bring myself to let go of all these black lace and studs wrapped around my body. 

During lunch breaks, earphones were buried into my eardrums and the heart pounding beats of MCR's "Welcome to the Black Parade" would liberate me and I would sway my head, my eyes closed, fists clenched and spinning in the air. It was eargasmic. It was freedom for me. I did not give a damn whatever people were thinking or talking about me. I was happy and fulfilled. I loved what I looked like and I loved what I was doing. I cared for my friends and had been the best friend to them. I studied hard and I was very proud of myself. Nobody could ever bring me down because I was good enough. I knew I was worthy.

When I graduated from college, that was when I started exploring: places, food, people, colors, and blah blah blah. I came to the point of realization that I was ready to relinquish these black clothes and make up and when I did, I was still happy. I had no regrets. And I was thankful for it. This darkness was part of who I was and I'm a better person because of it. I changed, a lot. People do. But always try to take a peak of who we were, because it was a part of your journey. Love who you used to be, and love who you are now. You are beautiful in every way :)

By TFG: I don't give much thought (honestly) on Men's fashion. I guess I'm too high in my senseless vanity to notice that. Or well, I assume it's normal to be more pre-occupied with ladies' fashion, as much as guys don't give a damn on your new color block heels. Nonetheless, my top-of-mind ideas when you say Men's fashion are suits/ties/jackets/sunnies and all that kind of get up. Very seldom would I find someone who would stand out from the stereotype-clean looking guy crowd. But that's just my opinion. :p Will I sound weird if I say runway looking guys (and I meant those tux-wearing) really don't catch my fancy. I think they all look the same, you know, men looking like cut outs from high end fashion magazines. But then, let me reiterate, that's just me :)

I'm more enticed with bad-boy looks, they look so sexy and masculine to me. I know it's what enamored me to my man, first and foremost. (too much bias here, I'm aware hehe) Provided that I have this huge obsession with Rock music and long-haired Metal Rockers (read: Sebastian Bach), I instantly have a Metal God by my side all the time. XP

I'll start from my great looking sneakers that were given to me by my doll. Quite sturdy and definitely complete's the "I'm-gonna-kick-your-face-in-but-still-look-good-doing-it" ensemble as the black shoes compliment the other dark overtones of the gig attire. The jeans were bought from a thrift store in Marikina and it caught my eye since it's one of those jeans that have the "bell bottom" look to it. The leather jacket comes next as it is pretty much standard in the metal scene way back then which I'd like to bring back. My GnR shirt is under that with the art done by the famous Saul Hudson which was bought again by my love. The top hat was more of a homage to my guitar hero as well as he almost never leaves home without it, bought mine in National Bookstore last halloween. The chain was an interesting feature as it enhances the tough guy look. "

Outfit Post: Breaking Down

We'll, it's a happy 26th month anniversary to me and my BF! yay! So before we went out for a date, we took the liberty to celebrate in his humble abode through photo shoots for our outfit posts! yes, our outfit posts. Finally, I coerced him to bend a little into the world of fashion (and blogging). Though that's not exactly his cup of tea but I won. So anyway, my outfit post first then his. And have I told you he's pretty skilled in writing? He'll be writing his own posts as well. Check them out in the upcoming post entitled: Wasted Time.

I cinched on a slim belt onto the corset to emphasize (or put) the figure

I just love the design of this corset top. given that my favorite color is royal blue and I like corset tops with front zippers :p

these wedges are definitely sturdy, punky and sexy <3

I wore fun looking accessories to inject some yourhful vibe into an otherwise matured (?) ensemble

The main attraction on this outfit is my corset top which I got from a newly-discovered online store called Ifassion Highfashion. I've posted a preview of this corset top in here. I know I said so many times that I just fell in love with the design and structure of the top but the affordable price is a super plus/bonus for me when I got it. I matched it up with my royal blue bandage skirt. (my fave color isn't that obvious, I hope lol). I played the ensemble up with this black fedora hat and gladiator wedges to give it more edge. So what do you think? :)
