[Outfit Post]: Psychedelic Summer ♥♥♥

Please excuse me but I've been looking for an avenue to vent out all the heat that has been curdling up within my body and all the veins inside my head are screaming already: IT'S SO !@#$%^&*&^%$#@ HOOOOT!!!

LOL. I just have this love-hate relationship with Summer. I love Summer because it meant going to the beach and shopping for new swimsuits, neons! pastels! colors and more colors :D Yeah, I love Summer like that. Then again, my gahd!! I feel so sticky already. gross huh? I've spent almost the entire day at the mall just so I can escape this heat that's been driving everybody insane here in Manila :(  Oh well, I guess I just have to live with that and try my best to transform this insanity into something more enjoyable for me: Summer Dressing!

So here's what I wore earlier today. You want colors? I'll give you colors *wink wink*

My friends always tell me that my outfits are so colorful and that only I can nail it. How I love hearing those compliments! I've always believed that colors can make someone look and feel young and happy! Perhaps vibrant shades naturally radiate happy thoughts as well. #justsaying. So I guess happier thoughts will come from my mixture of this colorful abstract top plus the pastel floral prints of my pants. And since the colors on my ensemble are too loud already, I decided to tone it down a little and opted for simple accessories. My nails are likewise screaming Summer, yes? :)

Cropped Top and Floral Pants; The Landmark, Trinoma
Jelly Wedge ; Vivienne Westwood

John and I went to a nearby park right after we got tired of strolling at the mall. And since it's Easter Sunday, they put up a mini carnival in line with the Holy Celebration. We tried different rides and finished the stint off with a fish spa. It's sad that we were not allowed to take photos during the activities. Oh well, we'll be sure to sneak in next time hehe :D

Camwhore Minute:

I hope you had a wonderful and solemn Holy Week my lovely readers. Happy Easter Sunday to all! ^__^

[Outfit Post]: I Am That Diamond ♥♥♥

First of all, allow me to say that I am deeply in love with Rock Music, particularly Gothic/Symphonic Metal. And I exuded that absolutely well, a few years back. In some of my posts, I have pointed out how I had been the Goth girl in every class I had during College. I was not oblivious to the fact that my professors, and some of my classmates back then, would all toss a glance at my direction, eyeing me from head to toe. They called me, "the lady in black". I had half of my face covered in razor-like bangs and only my left side of the face was visible. My eyes were charcoal black and I seldom smile. It was very cold inside the classroom, literally, so I had this excuse to wear this long black trench over my white and plaid green uniform. I was almost always called into the Disciplinary office because of my jet black tights and all the metallic accessories I wore. My nails were  black and my aura was that of a Nimbus cloud. They said I didn't look like a decent student. But I just couldn't bring myself to let go of all these black lace and studs wrapped around my body.

During lunch breaks, earphones were buried into my eardrums and the heart pounding beats of MCR's "Welcome to the Black Parade" would liberate me and I would sway my head, my eyes closed, fists clenched and spinning in the air. It was eargasmic. It was freedom for me. I did not give a damn whatever people were thinking or talking about me. I was happy and fulfilled. I loved what I looked like and I loved what I was doing. I cared for my friends and had been the best friend to them. I studied hard and I was very proud of myself. Nobody could ever bring me down because I was good enough. I knew I was worthy.

pretending to be Sadako. I dreamed about it once :p

When I graduated from college, that was when I started exploring: places, food, people, colors, and blah blah blah. I came to the point of realization that I was ready to relinquish these black clothes and make up and when I did, I was still happy. I had no regrets. And I was thankful for it. This darkness was part of who I was and I'm a better person because of it. I changed, a lot. People do. But always try to take a peak of who we were, because it was a part of your journey. Love who you used to be, and love who you are now. You are beautiful in every way :)

Friends Forever ♥♥♥

I wonder when I will ever have all the time in the world to blog everyday :/ It makes me sad that I only get to post something once a week, and that's considered lucky enough for me. Anyway, I'd like to share some of the photos we took last Saturday, at my friend's wedding which I initially blogged in here. My camera broke down so I had no choice but to grab photos from my friends' shots. I have yet to have another outfit post so I hope this will do. I would love to share these with you anyway ^___^

some drama series shots lol

bride with her brother :)
that's the Bride Nel Ann and her hubby now, Aga ♥

13 years have passed since we've been all together and we know that, we may not always be together, but our friendship is strong and will never be broken. No matter how many miles we'd have to run, years to wait and live, challenges to win, we'll always be here for each other. One may get married, have a family, have kids, and we'd grow gray hairs and wrinkles, our photos may wither to black and white, we may move to different houses or even to another country, whatever, wherever we may be, we are and will always be, this one big happy family. I love you guys! You're the best!

[Outfit Post]: Real Love Stories Have No Endings ♥♥♥

March 16, 2013! Me and my high school friends were all very much anticipating for this day for weeks! Because yesterday, one of my closest friends Nel Anne Grace had just gotten married ♥♥ Aww, the last time I saw her was almost 5 years ago, when we graduated from College. From high school to College, we went to the same school. And her house was not that far from ours, thus, we went to school together, went home together. Our friendship witnessed each other's growth from being 2 little girl rascals in High School, to become the fine, professional young women that we are now. haha XP

Kidding aside, I felt sad that we had to go on our own ways after graduation. We are now both working at different Banks, lol competition is inevitable :p And given our super hectic work schedules, especially mine, we never had the chance to go out and bond like we used to. Whenever our group sets up a reunion, we were never complete. And almost always, I was the one absent. Last month, I had this surprisingly rare opportunity to see her, accidentally! From work, I had a service van, but on that very day, one of my office friends forced me to take the train. And behold! Nel Anne was there. I believe it was destined, so to speak, that I took the train just so we could see each other. Thank God :) That was when I learned that she was getting married and to say that I was surprised to hear it was an understatement. I was shocked! I always had this notion that we are still too young to get married. Or I'm just in denial that I'm already old lol. I'm 26, and yes, I self proclaim that I'm still young! So anyway, this time, our group made sure that we were all complete, all nine of us, on this very special day. And I was quite ecstatic, I'm gonna cry again T____T

So before I bawl in here, I'd like to share to you what I wore for the occasion:

It was a garden wedding, so I thought it would be best to wear something colorful and floral so I could blend well with the flowers :p And since it's Summer anyway. By the way, would you believe that my mom just thrifted this mullet skirt? I was astounded when I learned that she bought it for only Php 40.00! I wasn't even planning to wear a skirt because I already had a dress in mind. But when mom saw it with the screaming tag price, she knew she just had to get it! I love her to pieces ♥ She definitely knows my style like the back of her hand :) Also, some gold accessories for that elegant twist.

I simply adore these slippers from Bocalo! I was scouting for gold strappy sandals when I saw these! My heart melted and I thought they were pleading like "get me! get me!" and I didn't have the heart to turn these babies down! ♥

I was definitely happy with the combination I came up with, I hope you find it pretty too *puppy eyes*. Please do let me know what you think! I would love to hear from you! ♥♥

[Outfit Post]: Sweet and Sinister ♥♥♥

At long last! An outfit post, after almost a month of posting semi outfit shots forcefully inserted through a hell lot of love blog posts. I missed posing in front of the camera and doing my usual pseudo-blogger gestures and all. Ayt! So here we go, I decided to come up with a 2 in 1 outfit post this time. Before I proceed though, this post is inspired by one of  Kryz Uy's post: Reinventing Pieces, where in she shows how one piece of clothing. i.e., a dress, can be worn in 2 different ways via a few layering techniques. It can be quite stylish and functional, especially for all fashionistas out there who are not a fan of repeating outfits, myself included. I do have closets full of clothes but not all of them can be deemed corporate looking enough which I can wear to the office so I had to get my creative juices flowing. However, the reinvention I did in this post is for the casual day to night style. I hope I gave it justice. So anyhoo! The central piece of this story would also be a floral mini-dress.

Look # 1: The Sweet
For my attempt on the sweet look, I wore the dress as it is and put on a sheer ruffled top. Ruffles never fail to add sweetness and femininity to any piece, given the sheer texture of the cloth as well, this definitely can pull off that girly girl twist that you want! Add some cherry rose socks and stilletoes and that cute, colorful bag that John gave me? Sweet! Or is it just me? lol

Look # 2: The Sinister
Throw the ruffles and socks away and put on some dark blonde ombre hair and leather jacket for that bad ass chic look! What do you think?

See how you can go out and be in style using only one dress suited for 2 different occasions? It's a complete turn around for a single dress that will surely take you from day to night! Tell me your thoughts. I would love to hear from you! ♥
