[Outfit Post] : Summer Sunshine

"In the heat of summer sunshine
I miss you like nobody else
In the heat of summer sunshine
I kiss you, and nobody needs to know"

Today, Wednesday, is my day off from work. And I just could not believe how hot it is I'm almost baking my skin into a crisp inside my room! Just last week, I was still cuddling with a fleece blanket because it was sickly cold and in a matter of days, the temperature rose like crazy! I hate you global warming :/ Can't you make up your mind? But anyway, Summer is just around the corner so perhaps I'll just take it that she came in a lot earlier than expected. Way too early though! So I'm taking all my tank tops and mini dresses (in all sorts of shades) out of my closet now, together with my bikinis! Woohoo! I can't wait to get to a beach lol. For now, let me share to you a Summer-ready outfit in the sunniest color ever.

If you can recall, I bought this dress from this shop which I wrote a negative review about. But I'm still wearing this since I love it. I dislike the shop, not the product lol. The sleeve and back details are just too pretty to hate and the silhouette is very flattering. I want this dress to be on the limelight today so I wore just a simple necklace. What do you think girls? :)

[Outfit Post]: Roc N' Rolla

Hi guys, so this was what I really wore for my birthday lunch date at ROC last week with John. I especially chose the color orange because I've always thought that this is what suits me best. And orange, I believe, is my lucky color. Besides, if you will notice, the sun is blaring above my head like crazy. It so feels like Summer here in the Philippines. Another color perfect for December 'Summer'? :-)

I fell in love with the silhouette of this dress. The flowy structure creates an illusion of sexiness, agree? Do let me know what you think :-)

[Outfit Post] : Fun and Flirty : ">

Today, November 17th, John and I celebrated our 40th month Anniversary. We do go out on dates every weekend but it is quite seldom that we get to go out during our 'month-saries'. As such, I ensured that he sees me at my most beautiful today. I decided to wear this pretty Lavender peplum dress from Stop and Stare Shop. The ice creamy hues and Body-hugging silhouette gave my ensemble that perfect mix of daintiness and subtle sexiness my boyfriend loves! I also used my ever favorite, now-abused, Celine-inspired bag to complete my flirty pastel look. What do you think? :-)

I needed to get under a shade though, it was scorching hot outside lol!

I would love to know your thoughts loves. Have a great day/night ahead!

My 1st Year Anniversary Post: I Believe In Magic ♥♥♥

“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo Coelho

~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥ ~

365 Days had gone by for this humble blog and with all honesty, it had been a tedious journey for The Fabulous Geek. I started blogging when I was in College. It was my online diary which was purely about studies, love life, friendship, movies and other what-nots which, I dare say, was very sentimental and thinking about it now, I would say it was overrated. I was taking AB Literature then, and I thought I was a good enough writer and my pride required an avenue in which I could vent out all my feelings creatively. Not. lol Seriously though, I had fully understood that I wanted to blog, but to blog about something I really am passionate about. I did not know what it was I really wanted back then, unfortunately, hence I allowed months, years, immeasurable time to go by without me really knowing what to do. Probably I did, but I was afraid to try. I have long been wanting to share my personal style through a blog, but I was timid, frightened what people would think about me. I had too many worries. I had too many questions: "what if they didn't like my style? What if I was the only one assuming that I'm fashionable?" etc etc. I let this anxiety get the better of me.

365 days ago, was a realization for me. I felt sorry that I did not even try. Nonetheless, nothing is ever too late, I kept that in mind. I have a lot of clothes and I felt good and beautiful whenever I wore them. Why should I even bother if nobody ever liked the way I dressed up? I knew I should do this otherwise, I will let another lifetime roll by and regret that I did not. So here I am now, trying to squish into the fashion blogosphere. 365 days back, I was a newbie and I knew and I got nothing, except my passion and my personal style. I know I will be walking, running, and chasing the ribbon mile highway before my blog somehow attracts readers from all parts of the globe. It was quite a long wait, but somehow I knew, it would be all worth it.

I researched, I explored, I discovered, and I realized that everyone from around the world have different tastes and styles and are very bold! Everyone dared, everyone defied what used to be the norms in the fashion world. Everyone was all for color blocking and print on prints, and heelless shoes and spiked tops. Everyone is free and happy and the world was more colorful and lively than ever. Everything was fiercer than I had known it to be. But then again, this was what I was made for. I was never a part of the mainstream society. Like these fashionistas, I had always been the different girl among the black and white crowd. I had people's questioning eyes on me. "Why is she wearing pink with mint green? Or yellow with orange? Why is she wearing prints everywhere?" They all questioned, and I didn't care. I was happy being the bold and the bright and the colorful.

I knew I did something right, and that this is where I belong: A realm of fashion where the only rule is No Holds Barred. I am here, and loving it!

Happy first year anniversary THE FABULOUS GEEK! ♥♥
