While Your Lips Are Still Red

This blog title is a song from one of my most favorite Goth Metal bands NightWish. I was listening to it prior to the photoshoot and thought I could use it for this new look.

"Kiss while your lips are still red
While he's still silent
Rest while bosom is still untouched, unveiled
Hold another hand while the hand's still without a tool
Drown into eyes while they're still blind
Love while the night still hides the withering dawn"

I looked like I'm attending a party, don't I? Well I'm not. :p I just got home from a nearby mall and happened to hoard some gold blings from an accessories stall and that was that. I knew I had to take a Lookbook shot right away and came up with this all black ensemble, donned with the gold necklace, earrings, ring and bangles for an instantly edgy look.

The top, I'd say, is one of the best finds ever. It's an infinity top and you could make tens of styles using this top. It's so versatile that you can absolutely wear this to a party, to the office, at the malls for a simple stroll etc. All you need is a little bit of imagination. This isn't a one-shoulder top, really. I just pulled the other sleeve down and tied it at the back unnoticed. You can likewise wear it as it is and tie the cape like edges at the back of your neck and you'll have an instant cape top :) Hmm, come to think of it, I'll probably post a tutorial about this top one of these days teehee :p

This gold Gibi sandals is actually my mom's! She let me borrow it since I currently do not have any gold footwear. It pays to have a fashionista mommy. Thanks mom!

Gold, gold and more gold! I super love these stuff! Okay, so sorry about the neckpiece. Obviously, it isn't gold. It's bronze :p Heck, it looks so good I had to put it on. :) Here they are by the way :p

Infinity top, thrifted; mini skirt, gift last Christmas; sandals from mom's closet; neckpiece and ring from AI Online Shop; earrings and bangles from flee market.

Liked this look? How about a hype? :">

School of Rock

This photo shoot took place almost a year ago, though I posted in on Lookbook and in here just now. The thing was, it saddens me that I couldn’t get to upload new looks just because I don’t have a camera on hand. I still need to wait for weeks before my boyfriend and I go out on a date, coz he has the camera and he is my photographer. So I thought, maybe I could pull out one of my previous shoots and post it in LB. I was anxious though since it’s not really a fashion shoot but a cosplay shoot. It was taken right after we attended a cosplay event at Megamall last September. Our shot location was at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife. We frequent this place for our photoshoots because of the scenery. Aside from the peaceful ambiance, it has specific spots that will definitely blend with whatever theme you wish to come up with.

Anyhow, the look has been posted and hyped (thank goodness) so might as well complete the details of the look in here. Hopefully, you would like it too ^_^

doll top from flee market; necktie from my boyfriend; arm warmers and fishnet stockings from The Landmark, Makati; plaid skirt thrifted; bunny sling bag from Otaku Expo bazaar

Hope you liked and hype it!

50 Shades of Satchels

Satchels are like a necessity today and I can see them on every mall, every blog and even at the flee markets. Their yummy candy colors are heartbreakingly tempting. Good thing I am on a tight budget right now and, despite the pain I’m enduring, I have no choice but to drool from a far. :p

Yummy Nails

How I want to eat those nails <3
Please disregard the wrinkles, by the way lol

Ripped Stockings

I presently have a thing for ripped stockings. It looks street-fab, chic with a hint of rock and roll, which I so love. You can wear it on corporate outfits to give it a bit of edge too, though I haven’t really tried that teehee! I browsed on Multiply for online shops selling ripped stockings and I was quite disheartened that they sell it for sky high prices considering you’d be buying “destroyed” stuff lol. So the know-it-all in me told me I can pull off a DIY version. A pair of regular black stockings basically cost me around Php 30.00 and nothing for ripping. I used my good old pen to pluck holes and pull out the nylons. Guess what? I loooove it!!! :D
