A Merry Christmas Reunion! Ü

I didn't get the chance to take a lot of photos from the family reunion on my dad's side so I just grabbed some from my cousin's shots. Would like to share with you bits of those happy moments. I feel really grateful that I was able to celebrate Christmas this year ^_^ Here are a few photos with my family at home, before we went to Mass:

Of course, a quick and single outfit post. I decided to wear something simple but the colors on my ensemble definitely did the talking! :)

[Outfit Post] : It's Almost Christmas! ♥

It's that time of the year when everybody feels inexplicably happy and nice, and more inexplicably, generous! lol. Christmas is just less than a day away and I feel very much thrilled. It's my first Christmas after three straight years. Why? Sadly, my line of work required me/us on duty during weekends and holidays. A simple draw lots would decided it all. So you can just imagine my excitement when I picked a different Holiday duty this time around. I even sort of feel jittery as I felt that so much have changed. Nonetheless, I am more than glad to be able to be part of this year's Holiday again. It's like a birthday and Christmas gift in one. #HappyMuch.

In order to successfully exude that happiness/excitement/Holiday feel, I wore these happy colors. Hooray for this color block body con dress from  Ifassion Highfashion. The orange hue in this piece just stands out and it looks so candy-ish, added up with just-as-juicy pink and purple hues and it's absolutely a stunner! The spandex material instantly gives me that extra feel of sexiness and confidence to strut! The design also lent me some imaginary curves, so that's a plus! It's definitely a favorite :)

I also opted to accessorize with Neons. Their loud and screaming tones are enough to turn heads yes?. And finally, I've been dying to get a pair of Melissa Jelly wedges for a while now. Luckily, John, my sweetest boyfriend, got me these as his Christmas gift. I love the bright yellow color in contrast to my tangerine dress. Also, they're very comfortable to wear, I can run a mile in them. They make me look like a giant though. 4 inches added to my height of 5'6". I think I really need to join Miss Universe in the near future lol.

[Geek Alert]: Miss Universe 2012

I always made it to a point that I watch Miss Universe every year, that was years back. Since I've started working, sadly, I very seldom catch the pageant aired on TV since it always ends up on a weekday, a work day. I only get my updates through my mom's texts, or via Twitter, so hooray for social media, really. Whenever I watched and Miss Philippines got into Top 10, my nervous breakdown begins. Okay, so I don't really break down, but you get the gist. The excitement gets the better of me, and I end up with sweaty palms and forehead, plus a nausea and never ending palpitations. My hysteria gets worse once Philippines got into top 5. You would never hear the last from me. If I can recall correctly, the last time I went insane like that was 1999, during the reign of Miriam Quiambao. The last best finish we have had for many years.

Miriam Quiambao 1999

A few years back, when Binibining Pilipinas (the local beauty pageant which the representatives for Miss Universe and Miss International, etc are hailed from), organizers were transferred to a different TV station, I noticed that the Philippines, since then, never had the chance to reach even the top 16. I felt bad and thought whether the beauty-and-brain ladies were nearly extinct. I knew this move was bad, very bad if you asked me. Thus, it was a relief when they transferred it back to ABS CBN. That was when we started getting up from the ground again. Maria Venus Raj ended up 4th runner up last 2010, Shamcey Supsup landed on the 3rd  runner up slot and of course, just yesterday, Janine Tugonon nearly bagged the 2012 Miss Universe title. We ended up at first runner up:

Venus Raj 2010

Shamcey Supsup 2011

Janine Tugonon 2012

So even when the policy of "No Internet Surfing" while at work has been strictly implemented, I couldn't help but stop on my tracks, breath deeply held, as I refresh the tweets every 2 seconds to get the latest update on the results. I almost shrieked when I've read that Miss Philippines bagged the first runner up. Although after hearing of what her answer was to the Q and A portion, I strongly felt she should've won. Anyway, I honestly had no idea what the question and answer was for Miss USA so I'm not judging. If she won, then she must have deserved it. I am just proud that Janine made it that far. I am so proud of her and the pride is felt throughout the country. It's more fun in the Philippines!

[Outfit Post]: I'm a Rock Star @ Bloggers United 4

It was my first time to attend "Bloggers United", which is now on its fourth installment actually, held yesterday until today at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. As I've expected, it was amazing! The entire venue was jam packed with all fashionistas at heart and aspiring bloggers like myself, together with our beloved fashion bloggers all under one roof. It was very much fun and overwhelming upon seeing all my favorite cyber personalities for real, finally. Parang star-struck lang! I was a bit sad though that, again, I didn't get to see the three girls that I've been dying to meet personally a.k.a. Kryz Uy, Camille Co and Laureen Uy. Nonetheless, I'll be sure to raid all succeeding bazaars and events and am very much looking forward to taking photos with them lol.

Anyhoo, here's a quick post of what I wore to the event. Honestly, my feet really hurt because of all the walking so pardon me if I was seated at most of the photos we took. This served as a lesson for me. I will never wear heels at bazaars again.

I decided to strut a little rockstar-ish to my look, or perhaps it was just an excuse because I very much wanted to wear this jacket again! And speaking of which, looks like I'm getting fonder of pieces from Wearables Co. It's not quite visible in the shots but I'm actually wearing a white corset top from their second collection. Corset tops definitely add that hint of sexiness and fierceness in any ensemble. It's an instant go-to top if you can't decide what to wear!

don't you just love this beribboned stockings? It looks so sexy!

I fell in love with the mood of this particular photo.
