[Outfit Post] : Little Miss Sunshine :">

“I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars.”
 Stephenie MeyerTwilight

Last month, the Philippines experienced a monstrous earthquake that killed hundreds of Filipinos. This week, a super typhoon named "Yolanda" struck our Visayas Regions, the same regions that the earthquake left in woeful ruins. Another batch of thousands of people left dead, and are still missing, and mostly shelter-less, water-less, food-less. I could not even bear to watch the news, seeing all the dead bodies lined up the streets, people howling, children crying because of fear, cold, hunger and thirst. I could not be too thankful enough that me, my family and my friends are all safe. Thank goodness that the typhoon had already gone. I know it will be very difficult for all the victims to stand up on their feet once again. But I am more certain that in a minute, one of them can still smile amidst all the turmoil because that is just how Filipinos are, strong, strong and hopeful that sooner or later, the sun will shine again and will let them see that everything will be alright. This post is dedicated to every Filipino who constantly sees the sunshine in every darkened day. Come hell or high water, typhoons or earthquakes, we are strong and we are one. :)

[Outfit Post]: Saturdate with BFF :D

I can't believe I blogged only TWICE within the month of August. I'm such a lousy blogger! *cry cry*. Anyway, a super late post is still better than nothing. So for today, my bff Shane and I went out to watch the movie "The Mortal Instruments". We both share quite an interest with sci-fi/fantasy books and films especially when vampires, werewolves, demons and angels are concerned. Note, however, that this interest rooted from way way back through our elementary years. It had nothing to do with Edward Cullen! Haha It's sad though that vampire books and movies had been trending in the recent years that it has become so overrated. The Mortal Instruments immediately caught our attention because the trailer was good. It was rather disappointing though that throughout the story, it has become another "Twilight" movie. My apologies to Twilight Saga fans out there. I also used to be a fan and these are just my personal thoughts. :) Anyway, allow me to share with you my #ootd.

We had a late lunch at Kangaroo Jack at SM North Edsa. We really should do this more often :p

Lastly, pardon me but I really need to post this because we both have fallen head over heels with Jamie Campbell Bower who played Jace Wayland in "The Mortal Instruments". Since the movie's plot sort of got us down, Jamie here definitely lifted our spirits up! lol Such an eye candy <3

Anyhoo! Let me know what you think my loves :) Have a great day or night ahead ^_^

It has a ribbon which I think is adorable :p You can't see it clearly in the photos though :( Here you go! :)

[Outfit Post]: Sweet and Sinister ♥♥♥

At long last! An outfit post, after almost a month of posting semi outfit shots forcefully inserted through a hell lot of love blog posts. I missed posing in front of the camera and doing my usual pseudo-blogger gestures and all. Ayt! So here we go, I decided to come up with a 2 in 1 outfit post this time. Before I proceed though, this post is inspired by one of  Kryz Uy's post: Reinventing Pieces, where in she shows how one piece of clothing. i.e., a dress, can be worn in 2 different ways via a few layering techniques. It can be quite stylish and functional, especially for all fashionistas out there who are not a fan of repeating outfits, myself included. I do have closets full of clothes but not all of them can be deemed corporate looking enough which I can wear to the office so I had to get my creative juices flowing. However, the reinvention I did in this post is for the casual day to night style. I hope I gave it justice. So anyhoo! The central piece of this story would also be a floral mini-dress.

Look # 1: The Sweet
For my attempt on the sweet look, I wore the dress as it is and put on a sheer ruffled top. Ruffles never fail to add sweetness and femininity to any piece, given the sheer texture of the cloth as well, this definitely can pull off that girly girl twist that you want! Add some cherry rose socks and stilletoes and that cute, colorful bag that John gave me? Sweet! Or is it just me? lol

Look # 2: The Sinister
Throw the ruffles and socks away and put on some dark blonde ombre hair and leather jacket for that bad ass chic look! What do you think?

See how you can go out and be in style using only one dress suited for 2 different occasions? It's a complete turn around for a single dress that will surely take you from day to night! Tell me your thoughts. I would love to hear from you! ♥
