[Outfit Post]: Saturdate with BFF :D

I can't believe I blogged only TWICE within the month of August. I'm such a lousy blogger! *cry cry*. Anyway, a super late post is still better than nothing. So for today, my bff Shane and I went out to watch the movie "The Mortal Instruments". We both share quite an interest with sci-fi/fantasy books and films especially when vampires, werewolves, demons and angels are concerned. Note, however, that this interest rooted from way way back through our elementary years. It had nothing to do with Edward Cullen! Haha It's sad though that vampire books and movies had been trending in the recent years that it has become so overrated. The Mortal Instruments immediately caught our attention because the trailer was good. It was rather disappointing though that throughout the story, it has become another "Twilight" movie. My apologies to Twilight Saga fans out there. I also used to be a fan and these are just my personal thoughts. :) Anyway, allow me to share with you my #ootd.

We had a late lunch at Kangaroo Jack at SM North Edsa. We really should do this more often :p

Lastly, pardon me but I really need to post this because we both have fallen head over heels with Jamie Campbell Bower who played Jace Wayland in "The Mortal Instruments". Since the movie's plot sort of got us down, Jamie here definitely lifted our spirits up! lol Such an eye candy <3

Anyhoo! Let me know what you think my loves :) Have a great day or night ahead ^_^

Style Files: Nicole Jung of KARA

In order to make up for my lack of outfit posts, I decided to come up with a segment that will primarily focus on my fashion heroines' styles that has largely influenced my personal wardrobe. I, being a pure-blooded Asian style junkie, would love to show and share to the Fashion blogosphere the versatility and beauty of Asian Fashion.

Not too long ago when Korean Street Fashion came into the scene propelled by the spread of South Korean music, mainly K-Pop, and K-dramas around South East Asian countries. I, being an overzealous fan of the "sweet and sassy", ultra feminine fashion, I was immediately hooked and dragged into their realm made of lace, pearls and digipermed golden hair.

Starting off this segment is this overly adorable 21 year old, (now) black-haired singer/dancer of K-Pop Girl Group KARA: Nicole Jung.

I've been listening to the music of 2ne1 and SNSD (Girls Generation) but it was quite recently that I have heard of KARA. Thanks to my brother, who is head over heels in love with Nicole, I've met this girl whose style would, surprisingly, eventually come conquering my own closet! What I first noticed about Nicole Jung, is that she dyes her hair into different colors frequently. I recall seeing her first time in a variety show and her hair was brown. I saw her again some time after and she was all blonde, and now, as mentioned, she went back to black locks. The thing is, regardless of her hair color, it will definitely suit her face and everything just looks good on her!

Perhaps that would be the best description I can think about her look and style: Versatile. In most of her concerts, she wears those hot pants and cropped tops, plus those sexy dance moves, she definitely can look one sultry vixen. But after she changes her wardrobe and goes back to her normal self, she looks like such a sweet teenie bopper! Between those 2 styles, however, I remain faithful to the all feminine get up. I'm sure most of you, if not all, would agree that we girls are all about romanticism and sugary things, hence our love for everything lacey, pastels, tulle and such. Korean Fashion is definitely about those things which I believe, Nicole effortlessly pulls off every time.

I definitely love the way she accessorizes too! I also try to be a minimalist with clothes at times and tend to maximize on accessories to still make a statement.

arm party!!
There you have it. I guess I need to learn a lot more about fashion reviewing. Thanks for taking time to read though!

If I got you curious somehow and would love to know more about KARA, you can visit their official website at karaholic.com!

Let me know your thoughts!

Ciao gals!

[Outfit Post] : One Thousand and Ninety Six Days ♥♥♥

“For the two of us, home isn't a place. It is a person. And we are finally home.”

― Stephanie Perkins, Anna and the French Kiss

This post is long overdue and I'm well aware that I've been MIA for quite a while. So sorry for the hiatus but let me make up for that through this post which actually took place during my 3rd year anniversary with John, the boyfriend. We held a simple yet special celebration this year at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) and it was even more special for me because I had a lot of "firsts" this year. It was my first time to watch at a MOA Cinema, first time to dine in at TGI Friday's, first time to wear a Maxi Skirt. I know, I know right? #loser

My ensemble actually has a little story to it. Every year, I always pray hard to let my anniversary day be spared from rain/typhoons etc since it's the rainy season here in the Philippines, which of course, drastically affects my wardrobe options. And I guess God loves me so much since the sun always shines on my special days ^^ And needless to say, I was very fortunate that I was able to wear this maxi skirt which has this summer-y prints in summer-y shades all over. Given that I have a flowy bottom, I opted to wear a sexy fitting top to inject that equilibrium.

I also brought along my trusty white blazer from AI Fashion since we were watching Pacific Rim that time. Which do you think looked better? :)

I really love windy effects lol

I'd also take this opportunity to feature this very pretty Celine-inspired baby pink bag from LookSmart Shop. This is John's anniversary gift to me and I absolutely loved it! Bf gave me the chance to choose my own gift. It was quite a tedious task choosing from a massive range of trendy bags in all yummy colors. LookSmart Shop definitely has one of the best selections of bags from the high street signature bags to funky aztec satchels and a whole lot more! (if you could kindly click on the links to visit the shop hehe) However, the minute I saw this baby, everything else fell into place! Don't you guys love it too? Ain't she a pretty? I also got this kawaii owl necklace together with the bag so I guess you can tell how happy I am. I love pink things so much!!

And of course, since I'm (unconsciously) converting my boyfriend into a fashion maniac as myself, here's his fair share of #OOTD:

Aaaand here are the rest of the photos from our date :

My apologies for this photo-heavy post but I do hope you liked it just the same ^^ Leave some love dears and let me know your thoughts.
